Hello! My name is Fahad Saifullah, and I am a student at the University of Colorado at Denver. I am currently receiving a Bachelor’s in History. In the past, I was an infantryman in the 82nd Airborne Division. Along with being a student, I was a Maintenance Technician at the FedEx Distribution Hub in Henderson, Colorado. My current goal is to graduate with good enough grades to get into graduate school, where I would like to study diplomacy, international law, or policy. I currently live in Louisville with my wife and my dog.
In my free time, I enjoy doing physical activities. Going to the gym, practicing Jiu Jitsu, and hiking are my favorite activities. My wife and I just started skiing last season, and we plan to continue in the ski season next year. I have my skydiving license and have skydived in the past. I plan to continue it in the future. I do like trying new things. One of my rules is I will try anything once.
My professional strengths are my ability to learn and adapt to new circumstances. I had never worked in any sort of maintenance field before FedEx, and I learned and performed my duties satisfactorily. I was also able to learn conversational Spanish in under a year (about 10 months). Another strength of mine is my work ethic. I currently have a 4.0 at CU Denver, and that is not because I am smart. I would say I have average intelligence; however, I make sure to study hard, plan my semester, and give my professors my undivided attention during lectures.
My biggest professional weakness is my lack of confidence. Even though I have achieved a good level of knowledge in my repairs at my job at FedEx, I always ask someone to double check my work. My superiors have told me to stop asking for someone to verify my work and to trust my gut. This is a professional attribute that I have been working on.
That is all I have! I hope you enjoy my page!
